Andros Germany is part of an internationally active, owner-managed company that is represented in 20 countries and employs around 11,000 people worldwide – 1,000 of them in Germany alone. The company’s well-known brands include “Bonne Maman”, “Odenwald”, “Spreewaldhof” and “natreen”. Despite the impressive variety of brands and size, Andros remains true to its roots as a family-run company.

Digitalisation has fundamentally changed many industries – including the food industry. One company that scores in this area not only with its products, but also with its personnel development is Andros Germany. Evelyn Hertling, HR Business Partner with a focus on personnel development at Andros, tells us in an interview how the company uses Evalea to promote and develop its employees.
Challenges in personnel development
Before Evelyn Hertling started at Andros about three and a half years ago, there was no structured personnel development at Andros Germany. “From the very beginning, my focus was on the topics of further training and annual employee appraisals,” she reports. The introduction of a comprehensive personnel development strategy was one of the central challenges – and became an opportunity to optimize processes and strengthen employees.

Digital support with Evalea
Today, Andros uses several modules of Evalea, including “Employee Reviews”, “Goal Management”, “Competence Management”, “Seminar Management” and “E-Learning”. The focus is particularly on commercial employees, who attend mandatory training courses digitally and prepare annual appraisals with Evalea. Industrial employees, on the other hand, are trained in presence. Evalea helps with the organization of the training courses, e.g. by automating seminar communication. In addition, the entire educational history is available online.
“What I particularly like is that Evalea is so comprehensively positioned. We can cover all our needs with one platform and don’t have to switch back and forth between different tools,” says Ms. Hertling. This versatility not only makes work easier, but also ensures that the locations are better connected.
Successful implementation and adoption
The implementation of the Evalea modules went smoothly, even though the three locations of Andros Germany presented different challenges due to their individual structures. Overall, the changeover was well received. “It was a big step towards digitization for us, and we wanted to move away from paper and towards a more efficient, digital way of working,” explains Ms. Hertling. Especially in a family-run company that is rather rural, this is an important step in remaining attractive to employees and setting modern standards.

A significant advantage of working with Evalea is the interface to the Loga3 system, which is used in the HR department for accounting and personnel administration. Thanks to the integration, the data always remains up-to-date and can be transferred without any problems.
